(Pre)Fab Faces: Designing with Your Own Ready-Made Letters
It might be time to give your overworked "go-to" fonts a break. But there's an easy way to give a unique
look to your communication systems and design campaigns: use prefabricated letterforms to manually
compose your own headlines and word-marks.
House Industries' Ken Barber will use Boston's rich typographic history as a backdrop for this
session on developing your own type. You'll learn how to turn pencil renderings into practical stock
lettering, get a handy drawing demonstration and pick up tips for digitizing your letters. Perfect for

Networking Lunch
Meet some of your fellow attendees for lunch before the Conference officially kicks off. Host

CS3 and reveal new ways you can use them. He'll give special emphasis to mastering Smart Objects and new
